FAQs

There are always a lot of questions that come to mind before starting any new adventure. Below are a few commonly asked ones.

Is there any nudity in class?

Absolutely not! Boulder Spirals is a safe and nurturing environment that allows you to discover your strength and sensuality. You will never be asked to do anything that makes you uncomfortable.

What do I need to know before I come to class?

On days you are attending Pole class, please refrain from wearing lotions or oils on your hands or body. As a courtesy to others, please refrain from colognes or perfumes while participating in any of the classes at the studio.  Please bring your personal Yoga mats to classes as we do not provide them. We also ask that you bring your own water container to respect the environment.

What should I wear?

For Beginning classes, wear comfortable work out clothing. As you advance, we suggest short shorts and a tank top or sports bra. Students usually find it easier to perform certain tricks while wearing small shorts, as some skin is necessary to “stick” to the pole.

Do I need to wear shoes?

Shoes, while not mandatory, are definitely fun! High heels offer you a different feeling than being barefoot. Try classes both ways and see what works best for you. Please check our boutique for new styles!

I’m out of shape. Can I Pole Dance?

Of course! If you’re feeling like you’re out of shape or wanting to lose a few pounds, Pole Dancing is a perfect form of exercise. You’ll tone up, burn fat, increase cardiovascular endurance, and laugh a lot. If you are under a physician’s care, or if you’ve just given birth, clear all exercise with your doctor first. Please note that Boulder Spirals strongly emphasizes that every woman is perfect, regardless of shape or size, but if you want to make improvements to your health, we are here to help.

How many people can come to class? May I audit?

For safety reasons, Boulder Spirals allows two dancers per pole in Levels 1-3. For Level 4-7 we only allow one dancer per pole. We suggest you register online to ensure yourself a spot.  Our goal at Boulder Spirals is to make our clients feel safe and supported both physically and emotionally. We do not allow guests or visitors to watch class. Currently, all pole classes are for women only. Co-ed classes may be added to the schedule upon request.

Do you host bachelorette parties?

We do bachelorette parties, divorce parties, birthday parties, or we-just-want-to-party parties. Please call us for more details.

Is there an age limit to participate?

Clients must be at least 18 years of age to participate in all classes or workshops unless otherwise indicated.
